Junkyard Morning

Junkyard Morning: Formed 15th August 2007 and the result of a desire to form a band capable of taking acoustic ideas to where they needed to be and bringing them to the world. Stefan knew that his songs needed something else...they needed drums (Dave), they needed bass (Lee), they needed electric guitar (Rich) and they needed a gutteral roar from the depths to bring them to life. With an array of catchy driving choruses with a with a distinctly heavy edge and influences from many artists including jeff buckley, Sting and others. Junkyard morning intend in short to blow you away and make you care where we are. If we were you, we would watch this space.

Junkyard Morning were the winners of Beacon Radio's Battle of the Bands in 2008 at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall. The band have been described as having a "broodingly, melodic alt-rock sound delivered with seemingly genuine emotion and a strong stage presence. Vocally lead singer Stefan is reminiscent of Colin Doran of Hundred Reasons, gravely yet with a touch of tenderness; it works perfectly with their well constructed material and intelligent, heartfelt lyrics." by the Surface Unsigned Judges. Having appeared on Red TV, Beacon Radio, Radio WM and Podcasts all over the globe they have just recorded a track for the NSPCC album "One Voice" and are looking for larger support slots in the remainder of 2009 and through 2010.
